What is rack colocation?

Colocation is a hosting solution which is based in a high availability data centre, designed to deliver maximum uptime of your key IT services at an affordable cost. We provide the expertise and infrastructure, and the client provides the server.

Colocation allows us to store servers, network equipment and storage systems in a secure facility with redundant power and internet connectivity. Servers are taken out of office environments and put into a dedicated environment designed specifically for high-value servers, with controlled temperature and air flow. This greatly reduces the high risk of office internet and power failures, while increasing the life of the equipment and keeping it safe from intruders.

Businesses are increasingly recognising the advantages of storing their mission-critical equipment in a colocation facility. The costs of lost productivity and income when IT equipment dies or critical services go down for any significant amount of time far outweigh the cost of colocation hosting in most cases.
